Welcome to the ELSA 6/7 Curriculum Guidelines webpage. The ELSA 6/7 Curriculum Guidelines have been updated based on instructor feedback. On these pages you will find links to the curriculum, needs assessments for each unit, and a new skills-based and print resources section.

The ELSA 6/7 Curriculum Guidelines have been developed for newcomers in the BC Lower Mainland to help them achieve their language, settlement, and individualized learning needs. The curriculum is task-based and incorporates the Canadian Language Benchmarks at Stage II, Levels 7 and 8. It is geared to learners who already have strong intermediate English language proficiency, with a view to helping them further develop and refine their language skills.
